So, What Does A $69 Hot Dog Look Like?

Hot dogs. The mysteriously delicious tube of meat that compliments a day at the ballpark or a summer BBQ with the fam. In New York alone, this all-American food runs the gamut from the ubiquitous one-dollar dawg, available on nearly every Manhattan street corner, all the way up to Serendipity 3’s $69 “Haute Dog.” So, what makes this chief-among-wieners so positively Trump-ish?

Start with a foot-long all-beef frankfurter grilled to perfection in white truffle oil, and serve it in a salted-pretzel bun imported from Germany, which is itself slathered in white truffle butter. The decadent delicacy is topped off with duck fois gras with black truffles, caramelized Vidalia onions, heirloom tomato ketchup, and Dijon mustard mixed with more black truffles.
