| Milk Market: Volumes Processed In Manageable Fashion |
Milk production in most areas of the country has peaked and is holding
at high levels with reports of declines in southern regions more
common. In areas that are still reporting increases, milk handlers are
projecting that peak levels will be attained by month's end.

| Cheese Market: Milk Supplies Up; Discounts Offered |
Milk supplies across the country remain above year ago levels and much
of that milk is finding its way to cheese plants. Discounts are being
offered to plants to encourage higher production levels for cheese.
Stocks of cheese are increased from a year ago.

| NFU: CFTC Should Hold Comment Period Regarding Extended Trading Days |
National Farmers Union (NFU) President Roger Johnson sent a letter to
Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Chairman Gary Gensler today
urging the chairman to establish a 30-day public comment period to
discuss the extension of electronic commodity trading up to 22 hours per
day.

and wheat. Despite positive profit margins in other cattle and beef
sectors, cattle feeders continue to endure negative profit margins.
