Gary and Karen Helmer, with sons Doug and Steve, ranch in the Sandhills of Nebraska near the town of Arthur. Gary's grandparents were German immigrants who homesteaded in the Sandhills in 1901. We strive to improve our cattle genetics by recording all animals on the Cow Sense computer program, using artificial insemination, and getting carcass information from the feedlot. Our goal is to produce a superior beef product. |
