The Verification Assistant supports the Specialists and Regional Managers in the process of assessing and determining compliance of the operation’s program against established standards and program requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Support Specialists and Regional Managers in providing superior customer service
Assist Specialists and Regional Managers with preparing customers for onsite audits of assigned locations
Communicate with onsite inspectors for upcoming, current, and past audits as needed
Follow up with and assist Specialist and Regional Managers with corrective actions when necessary
Review audits for compliance to standards or program requirements
Compile audit findings into Verification Reports within timeline standards for Specialists and Regional Managers
Work with the customer to gather corrective actions
Collect and report customer feedback.
Send notifications to customers for renewals or delist letters as needed
Perform any other responsibilities as needed
Required Skills & Experience:
High school diploma
3 years of experience in Livestock and/or Agricultural
Livestock and/or Agricultural background and experience
2 years of customer service experience
Highly detail-oriented and self-motivated
Teamwork attitude with a strong aptitude for professionalism and courtesy
Ability to process a high volume of data in a productive and quality driven manner with a strong sense of urgency
Ability to keep accurate records, prepare and manage files, reports, letters, and billing
Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills required
Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing with internal/external staff, vendors, and clients

Discipline in following defined processes
Self-motivated with a desire for continuous learning
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, food science, animal science, or other applicable field and/or 5 years of experience
Ranch and/or feedlot background and experience
Certification, Verification, and Onsite Inspector experience
Food and/or feed processing/manufacturing facility experience
Experience in industries with agriculture, agri-food systems, sustainability, and/or food and beverage certifications is a plus
Possess a problem solving and solution-oriented approach coupled with a client focused mindset
Able to use standard computer keyboard on a frequent basis.
Able to walk up and down stairs and to sit for up to 8 hours.
Some travel required (~25%)
